About Advah Designs

We are a new business in Boston dedicated to marking Jewish life cycle events with ritual and beauty. Each of our unique and beautiful prayer shawls (tallit) and wedding canopies (chuppah) is made by textile communities committed to environmental sustainability and fair wages. Our mission is to create Jewish ritual textiles that will be cherished by our customers and passed down for generations, and that bring true value and beauty to the communities who create and use them.

The Job

Responsibilities include:

  • Growing Advah Design’s social media presence and following, focusing on Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest
  • Increasing traffic and readership of the Advah Designs Blog
  • Writing one blog post each week, including guest blog posts for media outlets
  • Developing a marketing strategy for reaching out to 6th and 7th graders to let them know about our tallits (prayer shawls)
  • Prepare for the launch of a tallit (prayer shawl) design contest that engages hundreds of middle school students across the country.

  • Looking for an opportunity to take initiative and have real leadership opportunities at a start-up
  • Passionate about the mission and values of Advah Designs
  • Very comfortable using social media platforms, particularly Instagram and Pinterest
  • A great writer able to communicate inspiring stories to a wide audience
  • Eager to learn about running a small business focused on ethical and sustainable business practices
